I follwed in my Dad's footsteps by becoming a Volunteer Firefighter on Long Island, NY , 35 yrs ago. I'm still active.
I joined the Veterans Affairs FD. This is one of the few paid Fire Departments on Long island,
NY.

I loved every minute of the job. But all good things must come to an end. This year
I retire. It's a young mans job. I've had my fun, now another must take my place. Good luck & 'God speed' when the bells
sound!
I'm going to miss it!!
